romeo and juliet essay

ROMEO AND JULIET
Fate, Young Love, and Enemies are some of the most important themes in the play. For Romeo and Juliet they have found the love of their lives in the eyes of their enemies and there was many obstacles keeping them apart, and because of their young, and naive minds they believed that their love was fate and that everything that is happening is for a reason, and this maybe one of the causes of their very tragic deaths.
For Romeo and Juliet they found love at first site, and because of their young minds they didn’t know how to control it. In the beginning it is clear that Romeo is a lover not a fighter. He was first in deep, paralyzing love with Rosaline , and he was devastated at the fact that they could never be together because of the future she choose for herself(she wanted to be a nun), but he seemed to have gotten over her just as soon as he laid eyes on the lovely Juliet. Romeo has just switched his old set of love problems for new more complicated ones. When the love had become too much death became an option, if only they had thought it through more. Juliet was so desperate that when the opportunity came for her to fake her death and be with Romeo she took it in the snap of a finger, in act 4 scene 1 the friar Lawrence offers her the vial she replays with-“Give me! Give me! Tell me not to fear. Love give me strength and strength shall help me afford.” They expected fate to lead their way, maybe it did.
Romeo and Juliet both believed in fate and that everything that happens is planned and has a reason.  If fate is really behind all of this would Romeo and Juliet still have fallen in love if Romeo had not came to the party? Would Juliet have ended up with paris(-her arranged fiancé)? And was it fate how everything ended up in the end? After juliet’s “death” the friar Lawrence sends the message to romeo about the events that have taken place during his banishment pertaining to Juliet, but Balthazar(-romeos servingman ) delivers the news of juliets death to romeo first, without knowing that she isn’t in a perminant sleep. This is the first thing in this series of events that goes wrong and forbids their love. Then, romeo arrives at the chamber  just minuites before planned. In those early minuites that romeo is in the chamber he knows that he will die that night he plans this because if she is gone and dead he can not live without her. In act 5 scene 3 he states “ here will I remain with worms that are thy chamber-maids; O, here will I set up my everlasting rest”  he then drinks the poison. After witnessing the lifeless body of her one and only love she replys with “yea, noise, then I’ll be brief. O happy dager this is sheath, there rust, and let me die.” According to them fate was behind this.
We still cannot over look where romeo and juliet come from, that plays a big role in the ending of their story. Romeo comes from the family of Montague’s. the montague’s are absent from romeos life most of the time and it seems as though that maybe the reason he fall in love so quickly is because he doesn’t get that type of love at home or doesn’t feel it at home. in juliets case she may get just a little too much. juliet has no friends except for the nurse who maybe considered a mother too her given the fact that she NURSED her. as you can see these two families are very different in their home lives. these two families are enemies and it seems as though it's been that way for many years now and these two children have the courage to go against that. it maybe wronge but it may have brought them together in some way. when they first met they had no idea about the surcumstances of the lovers but they may find out a little too late-"my only love sprung from my only hate too early seen unknown and known too late prodigous birth of love it is home that i must love a loth enemy" (act 1 scene 5).  they have no idea what they have gotten themselves into until they have reached the point of no return. they know that there is no way that their parents will approve of this let alone the city.
romeo's tragic story ends this way because of many different things in their love could not survive if things were different the outcome may have been much different. if they hadnt rushed into this "love" and taken it slow as the friar lawrence had suggested they may have tought of smarter ways to have helped their love survive. maybe it was fate, but if it was there was no changing what would have happened. no matter what they would have found each other, also if the parents of these two troubled sould brought them up just alittle bit differently they may never meet at all so family, fate and young love all tie into the ending of the beautiful story of romeo and juliet
